About Babylon Academy

There are no translations available.

Babylon AcademyBabylon Academy has been established to teach Arabic language and promote cultural related activities to children aged 4 to 16 years from different ethnic groups. We aim to encourage children and families to better integrate their origin culture with the British society and contribute positively in this multicultural country.
There have beenabout two hundred students attending our school and many more have been on our waiting list for the educational year 2011/2012. This number is subject to increase due to big population of ethnic minority groups in London Borough of Ealing where our school is located and as more residents continue to know about our school and the quality of teaching and after school activities undertaken.
The school is being managed by an experienced management body and a group of qualified native Arabic speaking teachers who are multilingual speakers which enables them to communicate with students in their mother language in addition to English or even some other languages like French.
The staff has very good level of experience in Arabic language and all related cultural issues. They have devoted their time and effort to serve their community and help their children retain their mother language and positively relate their euthenics culture to the British one.
They have knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behavior management strategies to use and provide opportunities for all learners to achieve their potential goals.
All our teachers are trained to prepare effective lesson plans and use variety of teaching methods and a range of approaches to assessment, including the importance of formative assessment and their requirements and arrangements for the subjects of the curriculum.
They are able to evaluate the effectiveness of their teaching, to monitor the progress of students and to raise levels of attainment.
As a part of our school continuous professional development, all teachers are guided to design effective learning sequences within lessons and across series of lessons and demonstrating secure subject/curriculum knowledge.
All school staff works together as a team and identify opportunities for working with colleagues and sharing the development of effective practice with them. They work to ensure that colleagues working with them are appropriately involved in supporting learning and understand the roles they are expected to fulfill.
